Fallon’s Green Protein Drink

This is a really awesome drink to start making! It fits in line with every food allergy, and it’s crazy how healthy it is for you. I’m happy to share my crazy little concoctions with you, but please note, they aren’t always the yummiest things you’ve ever tasted… especially this one (but only because of the spirulina). Unless you are already used to eating green.. then you should have no problem with this one! I have recently read this type of drink as being referred to as a “meal replacement” however I was unaware of it at the time that I began creating them. I just started throwing things in a blender that I knew I was missing in my diet due to digestive complications.

If you think some of the ingredients are a bit too much for your taste buds, take them out… or add more fruit! There are so many variations of this wonderful drink, which I will be adding to this blog with time. I chose to post this recipe of mine first because it is the one I have been consistently consuming since starting my new diet plan. It helps with my digestion and gives me plenty of energy, which are two things my fellow celiac disease sufferers can greatly benefit from.


  • Leafy Greens — one handful
  • Blueberries — a handful
  • Banana — half
  • Spirulina — 1 tbsp
  • Ground Hemp seed — 1 tbsp
  • Hemp Protein Powder — 1 heaping tbsp
  • Flax or Coconut Oil — 1 tbsp
  • Chia Seeds — a sprinkle
  • Organic Raw Honey — 1 tbsp

Choose from one of the following liquids, 1 cup (you can add ice too if you like!):

  • Water
  • Green Tea
  • Coconut Water
  • Homemade Yogurt or Kefir-1/4 cup
    -For those who have digestive problems, homemade fermented dairy products are wonderful. Fermenting it for 24 to 29 hours will eliminate the lactose. You may also use coconut milk to make this recipe vegan/dairy free.


Get out your blender, put the following stuff in it, blend it up, and drink it!
